The winery, designed by the architect Paco Varela and his team, is located at the top of the property. The building combines vernacular and contemporary architecture and it’s perfectly integrated into the Axarquia´s landscape. The winery, with the most advanced winemaking technology, enhances the ancient techniques of natural winemaking. A long aging period, using new French oak barrels, is a fundamental stage in the making of these wines that can be appreciated in its own tasting room for both wine lowers and professionals.
From the top, looking south among vineyards, great views of the Mediterranean
Sea can be seen just a few miles away. To the north, the crowning peak of
Málaga, La Maroma (6788 feet), is visible as well, covered with snow several
months a year. A refuge for animals as the golden eagle and the mountain goat
together with an spectacular flora.
